Family Pictures--Why such a hassel?

The sad truth. This is the most recent family picture I have. It was taken by my very talented friend and professional photographer Becky Berry. I love this photo--it's gorgeous. But it's almost 3 years old! I never thought it would be so difficult to get a family picture taken. I don't know how large families do it. Finding the time, money, clothing, etc. is insane. The few times I've tried to take a family photo myself have botched miserably. I've earned a lot of respect for the many professional photographers I know. Bravo to them I say!
